Ageas and John Lewis have announced a partnership that will see the former develop and provide travel insurance to its customers.
As part of the agreement, Ageas will work alongside John Lewis Insurance to underwrite the protection product and oversee the claims service, sales and administration duties.
It is hoped the collaboration will result in the provision of a travel insurance deal offering great value cover for both single trip and annual policies .
John Brady, head of commercial at John Lewis Insurance, said his group is delighted to be teaming up with Ageas, stating: “Our priority is to work with providers that are able to continue meeting our rigorous customer service and product development requirements.”
Mr Brady added the move should lead to customers receiving the very best with regard to value and customer service.
Andy Watson, managing director of retail at Ageas UK – which currently insures around eight million customers – observed the partnership will further enhance his organisation’s distribution capacity and facilitate more growth in the affinity market, while also strengthening the bond that already exists between the two groups.
