A global insurance provider has been recognised at the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development People Management Awards in London.
RSA – which boasts 300 years of heritage and has operations in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East – picked up a prize for Best Employee Engagement and was named the Overall Winner at the ceremony.
The awards night is held to celebrate companies that have demonstrated progress in employee engagement over the last 12 months and Vanessa Evans, group human resources director at RSA, said her firm was “immensely proud” to come away with the gongs.
Ms Evans noted the recognition is down to the hard work put in by the organisation’s leaders and workers around the world, explaining the insurer has placed a greater emphasis on employee engagement of late.
“External recognition like this is invaluable in helping us retain our competitive edge and highlights RSA’s commitment to maintain world-class engagement levels,” she added.
The recipients of the awards were decided upon by a panel of senior human resources professionals, who praised RSA on its ability to improve its Gallup engagement scores from 3.80 in 2008 to 4.34 in 2011.
