New customers with Sainsburys Pet Insurance are being offered one third off the cost of their policy.
The policy which provides cover for up to £7,500 per condition for veterinary treatments is only available to new customers and has to be bought online before 28th March 2011. Those that insure a second pet will benefit from an additional 5 per cent discount.
Further, those that invest in the upper level of cover of Sainsbury’s Pet Insurance are rewarded with double Nectar points on all Sainsburys shopping in store, online and at petrol filling stations for two years. By spending £50 a week with Sainsbury’s and having their pet insurance with the retailer, as well as a Nectar card, customers could receive up to £52 worth of Nectar points a year.
According to a study by Sainsbury’s Finance, 56 per cent of vets have had to put an animal down over the past five years because their owners did not have the finances to pay for an operation.
