Crispin Speers has introduced a travel insurance policy for travel agents, which is to be sold online and will provide cover for customers with difficult medical conditions.
The product, Now I Can Travel, will pay “substantial commissions to the introducers on all premium”. According to the firm: “Many travel intermediaries traditionally have not been paid commission on the medical aspect of the travel insurance policy, but nowicantravel.co.uk will pay commission on the full premium the customer pays.”
Currently, the broker offers travel cover for serious illnesses and for more than 400 sports and activities. Steve King, travel manager at Crispin Speers and Partners, says that even though other policies exist for these risks, their feedback has shown that commissions can be capped or restricted in some cases.
He said: “We are an intermediary focused company so we felt that supporting our customers with a fully commissioned product that gives them both an outlet for those difficult cases and commission on 100 per cent of the premium would fill a gap in the market.”
