Pet insurance from esure has been highlighted as a good deal by the independent comparison website insuresupermarket.
insuresupermarket claims that people looking for pet insurance can save around £260 over the course of a year with esure.
The website claims that the pet insurance offers both low rates and good levels of cover, making the pet insurance “very competitive”, according to Peter Gerrard, a senior researcher at insuresupermarket.
insuresupermarket also highlights esure’s pet insurance option for its added extras – which include a discount for multiple pets and flea infestation cover.
Mr Gerrard added: “Overall this insurance looks excellent value for money.
“Our research shows that switching to esure for your pet insurance could save you as much as £215 for a cat and £260 for a dog.”
The insurer has also provided people looking for pet insurance with a list of key points to remember when shopping around for pet insurance.
These include checking whether or not there is an excess on the policy, if the pet insurance places a cap on claims for certain illnesses and whether or not the policy has a limit on the number of claims that can be made each year.
Insuresupermarket is owned by moneysupermarket and offers consumers 12 comparison tools for them to assess a range of insurance quotes.
These tools can assess pet insurance, home insurance, motor insurance, travel insurance and life insurance products.
