Lifestyle Services Group (LSG) has signed an agreement with Nationwide Building Society to roll out mobile insurance to customers of the bank’s FlexPlus Account.
The insurance arm for Phones 4u group will be launching the deal to the financial institution’s five million UK current account-holders, plus any other individuals who sign up and payment card cancellation – as well as an identity fraud helpline – are part of the service, Mobile Today reports.
According to LSG’s business development director Andy Morris, the company is “delighted” to be supporting Nationwide with its packaged account launch and “privileged” to be associated with the bank.
“Being selected to provide the majority of the non-banking features in the FlexPlus account is real testament to LSG’s experience in bringing together different market suppliers and offering a seamless single customer experience,” he was quoted as saying.
FlexPlus Account customers will have access to critical services 24 hours a day through LSG’s centres of excellence in Hersham and Crewe.
This comes after the BBC recently reported the Financial Ombudsman Service announced it dealt with approximately 600 complaints about mobile phone insurance between April 2011 and April 2012.
