Churchill Home Insurance has announced a beginning-of-the-year offer for customers new to the provider.
Those who have five years No Claims Discount can enjoy a 50 per cent reduction on the costs of such cover from today (January 4th).
The deal will run until March 31st and it is hoped the arrangement will provide some New Year cheer for those looking to protect their dwelling and its contents for the first time.
Homeowners with insurance that is not due before the offer draws to a close can still receive a quote and take up a policy at that price and on those terms of payment within the three months following, as the quotes are valid for 90 days.
As part of the agreements, the home insurance policy offers up to £50,000 contents cover and up to £500,000 buildings protection - and both of these levels can be increased at a later date.
The news comes after Direct Line recently revealed a new home insurance sale for the start of 2012, which included an introductory discount of 30 per cent.
