New pet insurance comparison site launched

A new pet insurance comparison service has been launched by Confused.com.

The solution is aimed at dog and cat owners and enables people to obtain a quote for up to five animals in the same process.

It is hoped that the new development will save time for consumers, who were previously required to get a quote for their four-legged friends one at a time.

The Confused.com service is the first of its kind to offer this, which should result in a more user-friendly site that provides a number of insurers to choose from and offers discounts of up to ten per cent.

Kate Rose, head of pet insurance at the portal, noted cats and dogs are part of the family and should have access to the best possible care available.

Ms Rose observed there is no National Health Service for pets, while veterinary fees are continuing to climb.

“When money may feel tighter than normal, pet insurance may seem like something that could be put on hold, but it really could mean the difference between life and death,” she added.
