Bupa, the health insurance provider, has been named one of Britain’s top three companies for customer service in the UK.
The Institute of Customer Service conducted a survey where it asked 26,000 people to rate companies in five key areas, which were professionalism, problem solving, timeliness, quality and efficiency.
Bupa, with a score of 88, was found to be the only health insurer in the top ten, with all the other companies achieving a score of more than 85 out of 100.
Paul Elliott, customer service director at Bupa Health and Wellbeing, said: “We’re delighted that our relentless focus on customer service has been recognised in this way by the people who matter most to us, our customers. Ranking just one point behind John Lewis and Waitrose, brands which are synonymous with excellent customer service, is testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, who ensure we put our customers at the heart of everything we do.”
