Women could face an expensive bill if they lose their handbag on a night out, according to a representative from Churchill home insurance .
Claire Foster, from the firm, explained it can be easy for ladies when they are out on the town to stop paying attention to where they have left their bags. She said: “Remembering to keep an eye out for thieves is crucial, as it could end up costing a small fortune to replace your bag and possessions, not to mention the stress factor.”
Her comments come after the publication of Churchill insurance research which revealed that the most common places to have a bag stolen are at the pub and at work . The firm claim that the nation’s women in their 30s have been heavily influenced by over a decade of Sex and the City style fashion and now often save up for months to buy a designer handbag by Mulberry or Marc Jacobs .
