Legal and General will offer Bupa health insurance

The Legal and General insurance network will use Bupa as their strategic partner to offer private health insurance to clients . The insurance company withdrew from the private medical insurance market in 2007.

Now, Legal and General will sell Bupa ClientChoice products, offering no-claims discounts and moratorium underwriting within the same product . There are three levels of medical insurance cover as standard, with different underwriting to suit every clients.

Legal and General expert Gary Burchett reportedly commented: “We are really pleased to be teaming up with a company of Bupa’s quality and expertise. Legal and General’s network currently offers mortgages and mortgage-related insurance and this move allows us to broaden our proposition even further. It is a natural next step to allow advisers to sell medical insurance .”
