This warning has also been supported by the report called Digital Criminal, which revealed how thieves use these social networking sites to look for potential targets.

According to a reformed burglar, it is very simple and easy for burglars to access social networking websites, target people and gain all the personal information about their home using internet sites like Google Street View . They can get information about when the site is used and when people are not in the house .

With an increasing popularity in social network sites, homeowners are being urged to avoid disclosing personal information online.
