A mother has filed a suit against her insurance company . She is alleging that the firm will not give her money for her son’s life insurance policy .
She claimed for the money after her son died from sudden infant death syndrome, less than one month after she activated the cover. The woman has alleged that she met with her insurance company to inquire about a life policy for her newborn son. According to the suit, she was asked questions by the insurer and entered her responses on the application form.
After signing the form, the mother recieved a premium payout from the firm. However, 15 days later, the boy died. The life insurance company has allegedly stated that they are unable to pay her the money, because of misrepresentations she made when applying for the policy.
As a result of her claim she is seeking compensation for punitive damages, relief and court expenses.
