Home insurance should be good value says Nationwide

Consumers are being advised by Nationwide to aim to get value for money when they take out a home insurance policy, no matter what level of cover they require.

John Baker, head of insurance at the organisation, made his comments ahead of National Home Security Week which takes place from October 19th to 25th. He indicated that home insurance customers pay special attention to the terms of their cover when it comes to their renewal date. Mr Baker said: “It’s important they make sure they get a good deal on a policy as well as one that has all the features they are looking for.”

In his view, the ’20 per cent off now and 20 per cent off next year’ promotion at Nationwide allows policy holders both value and comprehensive cover .

Recently, the financial services provider announced that its Consumer Confidence Index for September stood at 71, representing a year-on-year rise of 24 points.
