After the success of insurepink, the Equity Insurance Group is launching personal lines products which are aimed at men who are diagnosed with prostate and testicular cancers .
Equity created insurepink to provide a travel insurance policy for women with breast cancer and now by introducing insureblue, the insurer hopes to allow the 37,000 men diagnosed every year to acquire competitive travel cover .
Equity says it will donate £1 to the Everyman campaign for every travel policy sold and in addition, £10 for every motor, home and motorcycle policy purchased. The money raised will help towards funding research into the causes and curative treatments of prostate and testicular cancers .
The insureblue personal lines product development scheme marks a new phase in insurance cover for many people who have cancer and want to travel. It is hoped that in the future, cover will be available for a whole range of other pre-existing medical conditions.
