BUPA International offers expats new medical insurance cover

Bupa International is launching a new medical insurance product which is aimed at people living and working in new EU countries.

Under the European Health Plan, people living or working in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia will be able to receive treatment in hospitals or clinics anywhere in Europe. The plan will also include cover for chronic diseases, such as diabetes, world-wide emergency travel and the provision to add dental and optical cover.

In addition, Bupa International’s 24-hour world-wide medical assistance helpline, which is open 365 days a year, will enable customers to have access to a team of experienced advisers who, between them, speak 34 languages .

Steven Martin, European development consultant, Bupa International, said: “Because the plan is focused on European coverage, medical costs and premiums are more affordable. The region is developing rapidly and with the European Health plan, Bupa International is meeting the growing demand for international health insurance from companies and expats .”
