Aviva offers New Year insurance deals

Aviva is welcoming in 2012 with a number of New Year insurance deals.

The provider has announced offers for both home and car cover in an effort to help people save for their family.

As part of the move, the organisation is promoting savings of 50 per cent for new customers who buy their home insurance over the internet and have been claims-free for the last five years at least.

In addition, those in the same position purchasing over the phone can benefit from a saving of 35 per cent.

For motorists, Aviva - which has approximately 44.5 million customers around the world - is advertising free car insurance for 15 weeks to new customers buying over the web if they have at least four years' no claims discount on their current policy, while those who ring up the insurer can take advantage of no-fee protection for ten weeks. 

Households with more than one car can get up to one-third off through Aviva's Multicar scheme when insuring a second vehicle, with one policy being able to cover up to five motors or vansvans in a family.
