International health insurance provider Bupa has made an addition to its board in the shape of a new non-executive director.
John Lorimer will take up his post from the beginning of next month and will bring with him more than three decades of commercial experience.
With 22 years working in the financial services sector and previous roles at Standard Chartered and Citigroup, he will bring considerable skills to the table.
Mr Lorimer also has strong knowledge of the Asian and Australasian markets, having run businesses and operated in the fields of regulatory risk and finance during his time abroad.
Bupa chairman Lord Leitch explained that the new addition will help the health insurance provider enhance its reputation in some areas where it already has a heavy influence.
"John's career in financial services and his extensive experience of working internationally in areas where Bupa has a significant presence will bring valuable expertise and insight to the board," he said, adding that he is looking forward to welcoming Mr Lorimer to the company.
Meanwhile, June 13th marks the beginning of Men's Health Week and Bupa is calling on males o go online to ask health questions they may be afraid to put to their own doctor .
