Workers who use their vans in order to carry out business duties may want to look into the choices available to them with regard to insurance for the vehicles.
This is because Melissa Hunt, spokeswoman for Direct Line for Business - which started operations in April 1985 - has noted such cover is essential for those who travel around in their motors on a daily basis.
The industry figure explained van insurance policies can cover a number of different areas, including protection for tools kept in the four-wheeler, protection for other named drivers to use the van and guaranteed hire vehicle to ensure a similar model is sent out as a replacement should the owner be involved in an accident on the road.
Ms Hunt stated: "If your van is essential to your livelihood, it is important to ensure you have a commercial van policy which meets these needs."
People may want to carry out research when deciding which van insurance policy to plump for, as these agreements can often be tailored to suit a person's specific situation.
