Over 50s specialist insurance provider RIAS has unveiled a new personal accident product, the RIAS Broken Bones Cash Plan .
It provides customers with a lump sum payment of £400 if they break a bone in an accident . There is no upper age limit and it is available to new and current RIAS home insurance customers as an additional cover option. The plan may be taken out for an individual or to cover a couple.
For a premium of £15.96 a year per person, or £1.33 a month, the cover offers a £400 cash payment which can be used for anything at all, such as help with travel costs if the customer is unable to drive.
Janet Connor, Managing Director at RIAS said: "With fractures and breaks a common occurrence amongst people over 50, the RIAS Broken Bones Cash Plan will provide a welcome financial relief in the event of an injury ."
