All car insurance customers that have booked a summer holiday abroad are being advised to check the parking fees at their local airport .
Figures from a recent report published by Which? showed that there was a variation in prices and standards across the UK, with the most expensive options appearing in the south of England.
The report also found that valet parking may not be as stress-free as it appears. A test car was returned with an extra 22 miles on the clock, dirt in the foot well and on the wheel arches.
Heathrow Airport was found to be the most expensive with seven days totalling £88.70 for a business space. Cheaper deals were available in Manchester where a park-and-ride option was £19.84. According to a representative from BAA, the prices in London are totally inclusive. He added that the company is committed to providing customer service and security peace of mind.
