UK van drivers rely on their favourite music to entertain them on their journeys, according to a recent study.
An online survey of 1,200 customers by van insurance retailer, Swinton Commercial, revealed that a third of van drivers thought that their CD or MP3 player was the 'mod con' that they could not live without.
The poll found that a further 25 per cent of tech-savvy Swinton insurance customers chose their sat nav as their top mod con, while 13 per cent named their mobile hands-free kit as their favourite gadget.
Phil Moss, Commercial Vehicle Manager at Swinton Commercial, said: "Van drivers often carry a high value of contents in their vehicles from tools to popular 'mod cons' such as MP3 players and sat navs. We advise all van drivers to remove these items from their vans overnight to reduce the chances of a break in and a possible insurance claim ."
