Sainsburys Finance is offering new customers three months free pet insurance if they purchase a policy before October 6th.
There will be a further 20 per cent discount if the pet cover is arranged online and customers will also receive £30 worth of Sainsburys shopping vouchers if no claims have been made on the policy when it is renewed.
An important aspect of pet ownership is having adequate pet insurance, especially as vet fees are increasing, however this is an expense that some people avoid in times of economic downturn.
Lucy Hunter, Sainsbury’s Pet Insurance Manager, commented: "Despite the increased cost of vet fees over recent years, our research shows that over 450,000 people have recently given up their pet insurance in order to save money which could leave them exposed to potentially very high veterinary bills. By introducing this offer we are trying to protect pet owners by offering them good cover at an affordable price."
