Pet insurance discount available from Sainsburys

Sainsbury's Bank has a new offer for pet insurance for cats and dogs with a 20 per cent online discount. The offer is available until 4th August 2009 and with the 20 per cent discount is biggest discount that Sainsbury’s have offered on their pet insurance policies .

Sainsbury’s Pet Insurance Manager, Joanne Mallon, said: " Vet fees have risen sharply in recent years. Yet our research shows that more than 450,000 people have recently given up their pet insurance to save money, potentially leaving themselves exposed to some very large bills."

Recently, Sainsbury’s urged pet owners not to get caught out on their pet insurance with pre-existing medical conditions, especially as 10 per cent of cats and dogs suffer from a medical condition before they are three years old and a delay in taking out insurance could end up costing a lot of money.

Sainsburys Finance is a joint venture between Sainsbury’s and Lloyds Banking Group .
