Admiral car insurance is adding two new extras to its MultiCar policy .
Older vehicles will now be entitled to the cover as the limit is to be increased from 30 to 50 years, as long as the drivers are aged 25 and over. Additionally, there are to be discounts in premiums for high-end luxury cars such as Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Porsche and Bentley . MultiCar enables between two and five cars in the same household to be covered in the same policy, all at a discounted rate.
Sue Longthorn, managing director of Admiral, said that the cost of insuring Aston Martins and Porsches could be lowered because their owners have been proven to drive with especial care.
In related news, price comparison website Confused.com has found that 1.3 million British drivers claim to have picked up their bad driving habits from TV and film characters. Almost a quarter of 17 to 24-year olds revealed that films like Casino Royale and The Italian Job were the inspiration behind their careless driving .
