Ryanair has cut the cost of its annual multi-trip travel insurance by 45 per cent. The price reduction means that subscribers will pay around £25 for a annual multi-trip policy.
The firm has stated that its worldwide annual policy will provide cover for an unlimited number of trips per year, provided one does not exceed 31 days. The policy will also include winter sports cover for up to 24 days per year.
Travellers that take out policies from Ryanair are also covered for unforeseen risks which include medical treatment abroad, lost or stolen bags, flight cancellation or disruption. Commenting on the price cut Ryanairs Stephen McNamara said: "Ryanair guarantees the lowest airfares and no fuel surcharge and now Irish passengers can save even more with our great value annual travel insurance ." Mr McNamara added that the cost would not be affected by the number of trips made by a passenger.
