Annual travel insurance policies would be financially beneficial to people who travel abroad more than three times a year, says the head of insurance research at Moneysupermarket.com.
According to Peter Gerrard, in circumstances such as these, "it's more beneficial really to take out an annual policy . Annual policies are so cheap now". While such policies used to cost about two hundred pounds, a person who travels onto Europe can now get an annual policy for just over 30 pounds, he stated.
A recent survey from swiftcover.com and YouGov.com has found that 37 per cent of respondents had been robbed in Spain, while 19 per cent had been a victim of theft in France . The survey also revealed that 41 per cent of people admitted to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office that they drink far more when they are on holiday abroad than they do at home, which can invalidate an insurance policy .
