Astrologers are better drivers than most and should pay lower car insurance premiums, new research claims.
Conducted by moneysupermarket.com, a study has found that fewer than two per cent of astrologers have claimed for an accident that was their fault on their car insurance.
Whereas 12 per cent of psychiatrists, psychologists and meteorologists have caused a crash that was their own fault.
Director of insurance at moneysupermarket.com Richard Mason comments that car insurance companies should review their practices in light of this evidence.
"Our research shows the insurance industry needs to revisit the premiums it charges," he states.
He adds that astrologers and watchmakers should be paying less for their car insurance than systems analysts and insurance inspectors.
Lifeguards, doctors and surgeons were all found to have caused a higher percentage of crashes than chimney sweeps , actors and mobile hairdressers .
Car insurance firm esure released the findings from its latest set of research this week, which found 90 per cent of motorists are incorrectly using their car horns and are violating the Highway Code in doing so.
