New pet insurance offer from swiftcover.com

Insurer swiftcover.com has launched a new pet insurance policy.

Company officials state that as it is a fully online service, customers will be able to save money and time with its new pet insurance product.

The broker claims that rising costs of vet bills and other expenses now make it "essential" for animal owners to have a pet insurance policy to cover unforeseen circumstances.

However, six in seven owners do not have a pet insurance policy, it warns.

The new pet insurance package has been created in conjunction with Thornside, a specialist provider, costing just under £60 for some animals.

Andrew Blowers, chief executive officer of swiftcover.com, comments: "We're a nation that's renowned for our love of our pets and having adequate cover in place to protect against any unforeseen circumstances is absolutely vital for responsible pet owners."

He adds that the insurer will offer low-cost, high-quality pet insurance to its customers, available at the click of a mouse online.

Recently, More Than opted to offer a new pet insurance product, which costs from £4.99 a month, designed for "the most budget conscious pet owners".
