AA launches caravan insurance

AA, the car insurance provider, has launched a new policy designed for caravan owners.

Some 620,000 caravan owners in the UK might be looking to find a spot to park over the summer and could be at risk on Britain's roads, AA claims.

However, the most common problem for caravan owners is not ensuring that the vehicle is covered on trips to mainland Europe, asserts Gerry Barrett, the company's head of caravan insurance.

"AA Caravan Insurance offers European or worldwide cover and new for old policy so should the unthinkable happen you can rest assured your home away from home is fully covered, wherever that may be," he says.

"Check that the cover is what you need then you can sleep easy – whether you’re tucked up in your caravan in sunny France or at home, knowing your investment is safely tucked up, too."

AA's caravan insurance policy offers discounts for additional security features, such as tracking devices, and a no-claims bonus.

The company also offers customers a wide range of insurance products, including car insurance, travel insurance and home insurance.
